Daniel Zurfluh was born and raised in Switzerland. An engineering draftsman by trade he later earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. In the mid-nineties he worked for a Swiss NGO in Yerevan and got to know Armenia and its people which left a lasting impression on him. After spending 15 years in San Francisco, California working mostly in the Social Marketing field and 4 years in Switzerland in a management position within the consumer electronics industry, he decided it was time get involved with Armenia again; the idea of introducing the Swiss and other Europeans to the Armenian art world got him excited and he joined AvestArt.
